Acts 14:21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
Today, saints, the Lord has laid upon my heart an urgent message.  It is a wake-up call to those who are genuinely seeking first the kingdom of God.  It is the truth that we must, by virtue of our commitment to Christ Jesus and our passion to be citizens of the kingdom of God, endure many hardships as proof of that citizenship.  Our ability to endure, or bear up under tribulation or hardship is evidence of the kingdom influence in our lives.  Our faith is not a faith that depends upon situations working in our favor.  Our faith is the faith that has its roots in an eternal kingdom; it is not moved nor shaken by temporal situations.  We have been learning much about the kingdom of God; however, now it is time for what we have learned to be put into action.  The whole world is groaning, waiting upon the manifestation of the sons of God.  It is now time for us, the sons of God, to arise and proclaim the glorious kingdom that has been revealed to us.  This is done both in prayer and in deed.  “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”  The word power is also translated demonstration or exhibition.  Remember, however, that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.  They are spiritual weapons.  The enemy does not want this message of the kingdom to revealed to our nation.  He is content seeing all the chaos, strife and contention that we have in our country.  Do you really believe that he wants to see order and unity of the faith?  This is what we must fight for in the spirit.  Our spiritual fighting is made manifest in the earth through our obedience to Christ Jesus.
I know the enemy does not want the book A Glimpse of the Kingdom in the hands of many because it is about one topic and one topic only – the kingdom of God.  It is this kingdom that Christ instructed us to seek first.  It is the only kingdom that is everlasting.  It is the only kingdom whose foundation cannot be shaken.  And this is the good news that the Lord God has entrusted us with.  It is the news Christ commanded us to proclaim.  Let us all now be committed to actively spreading the good news of God’s kingdom wherever He sends us.  Lord, strengthen us to endure hardship in order that we may prove ourselves worthy of citizenship in your kingdom.
